Physician’s Formula Organic Wear BB Cream – REVIEW

I was strolling the aisles of Shoppers Drug Mart one day and stumbled upon sales at the Physician’s Formula section. I was actually searching for a new BB cream since my beloved Etude House BB cream tube was expired, and I was looking for something natural and organic, if possible. I purchased the BB cream for around $12.

I got the lightest shade in Light, which is a little strange, since I’ve used their tinted moisturizer before and was in the shade Light/Medium. I was inclined to get the lightest shade because of past reviews of this product from people with similar skin tones, and turns out this was the best shade for me. It only comes in two shades, Light and Light/Medium, I hope the range of shades will expand to fit a variety of skin tones.

The texture is very smooth and not watery, but a little tough to apply onto the skin. I had to work with the product fast as it tends to dry really quickly. The coverage is a really light coverage, so I recommend putting on at least two layers for the BB cream to be noticeable.

It feels very lightweight on my skin, which is a plus! I feel like I’m not wearing anything at all. It gives off a semi-matte finish and smooths out my skin tone but looks very natural. It covers up red spots on my face but needs to be layered to cover the spots fully.

BB Cream

This lasted over 10+ hours and even through a nap!

It’s not scented either and the squeeze tube is perfect to get just the right amount of product out.

Overall, I would recommend this product if you’re looking for a lightweight BB cream and not looking for too much coverage.

Physician’s Formula Sexy Booster™ Cat Eye Collection Liquid Eyeliner – REVIEW

My holy grail eyeliner (Physician’s Formula Eye Booster™ 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum) was starting to lose it’s pigmentation and was slowly getting dry every time I applied it, so I went out to find a new liquid eyeliner to try out.

I went to Shoppers Drug Mart and there was a sale going on for Physician’s Formula. Instead of the usual $12.99 pricetag, I got this for a nice $8.99 plus GST. I could have purchased another Eye Booster pen, but the design of this eyeliner really caught my eye. I love it when red and black are intermingled together.

The directions say to shake the product before using. I gave it a good shake and twisted off the cap which revealed a slim brush that accurately resembled the one shown on the side of the packaging.

Cat Eyeliner Brush

My first time trying to apply it was rather difficult, as I was not used to a shorter handle and I haven’t used a liquid eyeliner in years. (I’m a pen kind of gal!) However, the second time I tried it, it was really easy to control and get that corner flick to create the cat eye look.

When applying on just one eye, the pigmentation is a dark black. However, upon applying to the second eye… the pigmentation decreased and started to streak and look more grey. I had to dip the tip of the brush back into the bottle to get it to glide on as black as the first eye. The liquid itself is a tad bit runny, but not too runny that it would drip everywhere. I let it dry and set after a couple of minutes. It also smells super delicious, but if the scent of vanilla is too much for you, this might not be what you want, as the smell is strong.

I kept the eyeliner on for a good 8+ hours. The eyeliner did not budge, however it did smudge a teensy bit in the corner of my eye due to moisture, but that was about it. I placed a stroke on my hand and did a smudge test with my finger. It smudged really easily. I ran the product under water and it did not budge, however after wiping, it was easily removable with the water. It’s not waterproof, but it’s water resistant, which is better than nothing.

What I really like about this eyeliner is that after removing it, it didn’t irritate my eyes. Nor did it irritate them when I was wearing it. I have sensitive eyes, so I’m grateful.

Overall, I recommend this eyeliner if you don’t mind having a non-waterproof product, and if you’re okay with dipping the brush back in to finish your look. I will definitely keep on using this but I am really curious as to how it will perform in humid weather.
